Afghans, Iraqis, Palestinians, Kurds, Sudanese, six years after the closure of the Sangatte centre, they are still as numerous. Only 4 to 5% of them will obtain refugee status in Great Britain. The rest will be condemned to living illegally. Apart from a few charities, the populations ignores them, pretends not to see them. The thematic television channels sometimes have "relapses". The images and sounds of events are served up with no explanation, with a simple insert indicating the place and sometimes the date, and the intuition is that these images and sounds alone betray something real that words are stifling, that there is precise and precious information in the formlessness of the material.
